An Antropology on the Art of Surviving

Louise Bourgeois, An Antropology on the Art of Surviving

It is not an image I am seeking. It’s not an idea.
It is an emotion you want to recreate, an emotion of wanting, of giving, and of destroying.

An Antropology on the Art of Surviving explores the works of Louise Bourgeois. Louise Bourgeois transformed her experiences into a highly personal visual language through the use of mythological and archetypal images, adopting objects such as spirals, spiders, cages, to symbolize psychological suffering and loneliness.

The images, title and lyrics were taken from Louise Bourgeois: The Locus of Memory, Works 1982-1993, published by Harry N Abrams Inc on April 1, 1994.
